Driven by her passion for law, Marlyssa went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law. Her exceptional academic performance earned her the prestigious "Law League of Louisiana" achievement award in 1997. Marlyssa's commitment to legal education also led her to study admiralty and maritime law at Tulane Law School's Maritime program in the picturesque islands of Mykonos and Spetses, Greece, during the summer of 1995.
